I’m an Australian-based designer, natural history illustrator and visual artist. For as long as I can remember I have been drawing, painting and exploring the world around me. While wildlife is often my focus, I am also inspired by folklore, history and mythology.
Whenever I can I try to study my subject matter directly in the field. I am often more interested in capturing the “essence” of a subject than adhering to strict realism.
I work in acrylic, gouache, graphite, watercolor and digital media, producing designs and illustrations for councils, festivals, museums, nonprofits, private commissions and personal projects.
